Meet Our Staff at the Provo Family Clinic

Elizabeth-Feil

Elizabeth Feil, LCSW is the Program Manager for the Provo Family Clinic and the Payson Family Clinic. She has been working as a therapist at Wasatch Behavioral Health since 2002. She is trained in EMDR, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Crisis Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-focused CBT, and the Strengthening Families Program. Elizabeth is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner.  Elizabeth works primarily with youth ages 11-17 and their families but also has a lot of experience with elementary school-aged children, PLUS she speaks Spanish. Elizabeth was very involved in implementing a grant-funded interdisciplinary approach involving Provo School District, Intermountain Health Clinics, and Wasatch Behavioral Health.

Elizabeth enjoys scuba diving, target shooting, reading, and traveling both within the United States and internationally. She has been to more different countries than states and is always looking forward to the next trip.

Beccah Roberts

Beccah Roberts, LCSW is the Therapist Supervisor at the Provo Family Clinic. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from BYU-Idaho and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. She enjoys working with youth of all ages and their families. She also has had experience working with foster and adopted youth who have experienced trauma. She has been trained in Trauma-Focused care, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and is TBRI informed.

Beccah enjoys baking, reading, going on walks, and traveling. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.

Website-Samara Brown

Samara Brown, CSW graduated from BYU with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She has previously worked as an HSW in the Stride program and as a therapist intern at Vantage Point and Provo School District. Her passion is working with kids, but she has experience working with teens and adults as well. She has been trained in Social Work in Schools, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused care, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and is TBRI informed.

Samara enjoys reading, watching movies, and trying new recipes. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and her newest hobby is trying to keep the plants in her garden alive.

Alex Ibarra Best

Alex Ibarra, CMHC is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor at the Provo Family Clinic. Alex has experience working with trauma, domestic violence, addictions, anger management, couples, family relationships, anxiety, depression and other mental issues. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and he speaks Spanish.  He has received training in Trauma-focused CBT, overcoming pornography, and mindfulness.

Alex enjoys gardening, walking, bicycling and above all spending time with wife, children and grandchildren.

Joshua Jenkins

Joshua Jenkins, LCSW is a therapist at the Provo Family Clinic.  He has been doing therapy since 2011 and he speaks Spanish.  Joshua has been trained in EMDR and Trauma-focused CBT.  His main focus is school age children who have emotional and behavioral problems and he enjoys working with children who have oppositional defiant behaviors.  “For eight years, I worked at Child and Family Services helping to maintain children in their homes or trying to help with the reunification process.”  Joshua worked for several years at a Residential Treatment Center and another year at Primary Children’s Center for Counseling.

Joshua really likes to do gardening and to be with his family doing family activities.  He loves coaching soccer and has a fun time working with kids to learn better skills.  “I love working with children and their families to help them have a better quality of life and in making better decisions for their lives”.

Rosa Reyes, LCSW. Rosy is a License Clinical Social Worker. She has been working at the Provo Family Clinic for 2 and half years.  She has experience working with children and teens for over 10 years. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with Emphasis in Social Work from Utah Valley State University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. Rosy employs various therapeutic approaches such as TFCBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Play therapy. She is currently being trained in EMDR. Rosy likes to use a multicultural perspective when working with clients.

Rosy is fluent in Spanish and speaks a little Portuguese. She enjoys baking cheesecakes, cooking Mexican food, traveling, dancing and learning from people of different cultures. Rosy enjoys spending time with her family and her  two cats.

Marlene Sisson

Marlene Sisson, LCSW, is a therapist at the Provo Family Clinic and has worked at Wasatch Behavioral Health since 2015. Marlene has worked in various social work roles over the last 17 years, working with individuals needing assistance with: serious mental illness, geriatrics, physical disabilities, autism, and drug/alcohol addiction.

Marlene has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Sociology from Utah State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Marlene enjoys working with all age groups and continues to work towards expanding her knowledge in working with individuals that have been diagnosed with Autism and individuals that would benefit from TF-CBT (Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Marlene has completed the PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) training, with the pursuit of becoming fully licensed and is currently accepting clients for this program.

In her personal life, Marlene is married, was formerly a foster parent and is now an adoptive parent to 4 amazing, strong resilient kids, in which one child has high functioning autism. She also has 1 adorable, small, and slightly aggressive Chihuahua. Marlene enjoys spending time with her family and cuddling her doggie. She also enjoys reading, traveling, going to the movie theater, going on walks and is currently attempting to learn ASL (American Sign Language).

Janet Welling

Janet Welling, LCSW has worked as a therapist at WBH since 2015. She is a certified Mind-Body Bridging practitioner. She has also been trained in EMDR and enjoys working with children, youth, and adults. She has worked in various roles in the social work field for 22 years and had thirteen years of experience with DCFS, which gives her knowledge and understanding of the child welfare system and the issues that foster and adoptive families face. Additionally, Janet has experience providing group and individual therapy in residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment.

Gordon Wright

Gordon Wright, LCSW is a therapist at the Provo Family Clinic. Gordon earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Utah. He later received his MSW at Columbia University in New York City, N.Y. Gordon has worked at Wasatch Mental Health for about eleven years and enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults particularly those with attachment, substance abuse and traumatic issues. Gordon has nearly 30 years of experience in the social work field.

Gordon is married and has one beautiful adoptive daughter.

Melissa Meyer

Melissa Meyer, LCSW provides telehealth services for Wasatch Behavioral Health clinics. She earned her Bachelors and Masters of Social work degrees from the University of Southern Indiana. Melissa offers 25 years of experience that includes working with adults and teenagers with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bi-polar, trauma, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, end of life issues, and life transition difficulties. She also has experience conducting intensive outpatient services, partial hospitalization programs, smoking cessation, and co-occurring groups along with individual, family, marital, and couples counseling.  Melissa uses several therapy techniques based on the individual needs and treatment goals of the client including: client centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, relapse prevention, and solution-focused therapy.

Pamela Love

Pamela Love, CSW, graduated from BYU as a Master of Social Work after completing her undergraduate work in Family Studies with a minor in Global Women’s Studies. In her internships at American Fork Family Clinic and Family Services-Provo, she worked with children, adolescents, and adults. She has received training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Parent Management Therapy (PMT). She is also DBT- and TBRI-informed. She enjoys working therapeutically with people of all ages and has a passion for integrating mindfulness/body approaches as well as working with parents on improving parent-child relationships and parenting practices.

Pam enjoys spending time with her husband and six children (ages 11-29), hiking, reading, writing, music, art, and playing games–all sorts!

Katie Owen, ACMHC is a therapist at the Provo Family Clinic. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Utah State University and her graduate training at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. Her approach is compassionate, client-centered, and strength-based. She also focuses on working collaboratively with the client and family.  Katie has received training in child-centered play therapy, TF-CBT, CBT and is TBRI informed.  Katie has experience working with many individuals and is passionate about working with children and utilizing play modalities.

Katie enjoys biking, hiking, remodeling her old home, and spending time with her family
