“I serve with the Wasatch Behavioral Health and Giant Steps Advisory Boards because mental health matters, and I want to do my part to help. I’ve found my associations at Wasatch to be professional and worthwhile.” –Steve
“Mental illness is a pervasive and possibly chronic condition affecting over 21,000 members of our Utah County community. Despite well researched and evidence-based treatments available in our community, many suffer in silence due to denial, stigma, and shame.
Our goal is to raise public awareness about mental illness, the effectiveness of treatment, and promote mental wellness in the community. We believe that awareness and education reduces stigma, that early detection and diagnosis leads to prevention, and that people with mental illness can and will recover and lead full meaningful lives.”
