Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a relationship-focused therapy between a caregiver and child, focused on healing children who have experienced trauma – such as abuse or neglect – and who have difficult emotions and behaviors. We often work with children who cannot participate in other groups because of these challenges.
Eligibility & Information
Who is TBRI for?
Caregivers (including biological parents, relatives, foster parents, and adoptive parents)
Caregivers may bring children ages 4 through 12 to participate in a children’s TBRI Nurture Group
At least one child must have Medicaid for any/all family members to participate in TBRI
Caregiver sessions are one evening per week for 9 weeks* Children sessions are at the same time for 8 weeks
*There is also an online, day-time option for the Caregiver TBRI group.
