Bryant Jenks, LMFT is the Program Manager over School Based Services, PREP Team, and the Bridge Program. He is a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Regional Coordinator helping law enforcement improve their skills in dealing with mental health situations in the community. When he is able to do therapy, Bryant specializes in doing in-home Family Therapy using experiential activities, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral therapy techniques. Kevan Baker, LCSW, received his Bachelor’s degree from UVU in Family Studies and his Master’s of Social Work from Brigham Young University. He works as a therapist with the Wasatch through the Alpine School District Student Services contract. He enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. He has a background in substance abuse as well as mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. His primary modalities include Motivational interviewing, Solution-focused therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, and LOGOS therapy. Kevan speaks Spanish and is certified to work with Spanish-speaking clients.
Kevan loves to spend time with his family, especially when it involves “anything outdoors,” such as camping, hiking, fishing, etc. He has been married to the love of his life for over 30 years. He is proud to say that they “have not missed a weekly date night in 25 years, and this keeps our marriage together.” He has six children: two boys and four girls. He also has three grandchildren who “keep me focused on my future”.

Ashlee Brown-Oyler, LCSW, graduated from Boise State University with her Masters degree in Social Work. She is currently working as a school based therapist through Wasatch Behavioral Health contracted at Alpine School District. She has experience working with children of all ages, families, adults and veterans. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT). She is a strong advocate for her clients and is passionate about helping her clients find solutions and empowerment through personal growth.

Gina Zupan, CMHC, earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to this, Gina completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies at Utah Valley University, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding family dynamics and the importance of family support systems.
Professionally, Gina is passionate about working with families and individuals of all ages. Her approach is empathetic and personalized, aiming to foster a supportive environment where clients can thrive. She takes great joy in helping others navigate their personal challenges and celebrates their successes alongside them.
Gina enjoys the time spent with her kids, grandkids, and the rest of her family. She also shares her home with her two dogs and three cats. Gina enjoys being outdoors and loves engaging in all activities that connect her with nature.

Ben Reaves, CMHC, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He earned his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Ben is currently working as a therapist for Wasatch Behavioral Health on the Student Based Services team for Alpine School District. He has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health and substance use disorder field.
Ben has a passion for working with teens and young adults and he is inspired by the courage many people show by accepting counseling as a way to assist them in addressing behavioral, social and emotional challenges. Ben uses evidence-based, science driven practices to engage clients in learning how to cope with emotional and mental challenges. He is trained to practice EMDR, CPT, CBT, DBT, gender-responsive and trauma-focused interventions. Ben is devoted to providing care, teaching skills and helping clients increase their readiness to make more informed decisions about their mental and emotional health.

Keiko Johnson, CMHC, brings her real-world experience and multicultural background to help teens, children, and adults navigate life’s challenges. She understands the stress that comes with managing work, school, family, and life and tailors her approach to each client’s unique situation and resources.
Keiko uses practical, effective strategies like solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop real-life skills for managing stress, improving relationships, and building resilience. Keiko is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful technique she uses to address negative core beliefs, strengthen positive self-perception, process past traumas, and enhance overall resilience. Keiko has a bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Development from Utah State University and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands. When she’s not helping clients, Keiko enjoys hiking, hot yoga, and working on fiber arts projects (knitting, spinning yarn, and weaving).
Tresa Heaton, CSW is a school-based therapist at the Payson Family Clinic working in Nebo School District. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS Degree in Psychology and an MSW Degree in Social Work. She has extensive experience as a volunteer, advancing human rights locally and internationally. She obtained her CSW in 2022 as an avenue to further help individuals, families and communities. Her clinical approach uses evidence-based treatment specific to each client’s needs and preferences.

Sarah Krupa, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Utah Valley University in 2019. With extensive experience working with adults, teens, children, and couples facing mental health disorders and addictions. Sheri Rowley, LCSW, RPT-S, is dedicated to providing exceptional mental health services within the school-based setting. With over 15 years of experience, Sheri is committed to supporting children and adolescents in healing from trauma and developing essential life skills.
Sheri is a registered play therapist-supervisor who works with children and adolescents by providing therapeutic support to students, collaborating with school staff and families, and implementing evidence-based interventions. She specializes in individual and group therapy. She firmly believes in the power of connection and relationships and has extensive experience leading Child-Parent Relationship Therapy groups. Sheri is passionate about helping individuals and families thrive and find happiness in their lives.

Jenifer Griffin, LCSW received her Master’s Degree from Utah Valley University. Since graduating she has been working with adults in individual and group therapy settings. Ben Theurer, CSW, enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and families. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Human Resource Management and his Master’s of Social work from the University of Utah. He is currently contracted with Alpine School District and works to meet the needs of students, collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators. Ben is also passionate about the LGBTQ+ community and assisting others coping with serious mental illness. His primary modalities include Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, ACT, and EMDR.

He is passionate about cars and is often found in his garage, fixing, cleaning, or customizing vehicles. Lana Noot, CSW received her Bachelor’s degree in Family Science/Pre-Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University and is currently working as a therapist with the American Fork Family Clinic and Alpine School District. She enjoys working with adolescents, children, and their families. She has a background working in substance use treatment, the SPMI population, and family crisis. Mirren Pan, CSW, graduated from Utah Valley University with her Master’s of Social Work in 2023. Hannah Rowe, LCSW, graduated from Utah Valley University with a Master’s of Social Work in 2023. She graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work in 2021 with a minor in Psychology. Her passion is working with children and adolescents, and she has years of experience doing so. Her primary modalities are CBT and DBT to help clients develop skills to improve their life and manage emotions.

Brett González, CSW, is a committed social worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University. Over the past five years, Brett’s work at Wasatch Behavioral Health has provided him with a broad perspective on the mental health and substance use fields. Kaydon Bradshaw, CSW, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University and his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. He is currently working as a therapist in the American Fork Family Clinic and Alpine School District. He has experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. Kaydon is passionate about working with clients who have experienced trauma, emotional struggles, and relational difficulties to help them find healing and skills to better cope in their daily lives. He uses a client centered approach and believes that clients are the experts in their lives. He is an advocate for his clients and is intentional about connecting them with needed resources. He is trained in EMDR and his main therapeutic modalities include ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT.

Laura Vanderhoff, LCSW earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Utah Valley University in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Family Studies and completed a master’s in social work with Boise State University. She specializes working with children and adolescents (6 on up), as well as adults who struggle with Trauma, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, LGBTQIA+ issues, Bipolar, PTSD, sexual assault, and abuse. Laura’s approach is to start where you are and focus on your strengths to help you feel confident in yourself. She also comes from a place of nonjudgement whether you are working through your identity, religion, or things you have kept hidden for a long time. Whatever the concern, Laura creates a safe place to help you be successful through your journey. Laura uses a variety of modalities depending on the needs of the client such as EMDR, DBT, ACT, Sand Tray, Play Therapy, IFS, CPT, CBT, and Mindfulness-Stress Reduction Therapy.
A native Oregonian, Laura loves the coast and tries to visit often. Her hobbies include watching movies (especially documentaries), planning parties with her family, and finding the perfect song to dance to.
Linda Fifita, CSW is a therapist in the Payson Family Clinic working in the School Based Services with Nebo School District. She graduated from Brigham Young University with her bachelor’s degree in Family Life minoring in Gerontology in 2018. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2021. Linda has a large family and a has spent her life in the care of children and adolescents. She is passionate about the mental health of each child. Linda is trained in MI, CBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, DBT, and School Social Work. She has a School Social Work certification. Her approach to therapy includes being client-centered and trauma-informed.

Arely Malpica, CSW, earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. She currently works as a therapist for Wasatch Behavioral Health in the Student-Based Services team for Alpine School District. Arely is fluent in Spanish and is happy to work with students in their native language.
Arely is passionate about helping children and teenagers develop healthy coping skills and empowering the students she works with. Steven Nilsson, LCSW, is a school-based social worker contracted with Alpine School District who is passionate about supporting students and their families. He earned his Master of Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University and brings experience working with both youth and adults in mental health and substance use settings.
Steven works closely with students to help them manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and behavioral concerns. He focuses on building practical coping skills, strengthening emotional awareness, and creating a safe, supportive space where students feel heard and understood. His approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each student’s unique needs, often drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Adlerian principles.

Tanner Hone, LCSW, earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Utah Valley University. He works as a therapist with the American Fork Family Clinic and Alpine School District. He enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. After being diagnosed officially with ADHD in 2020, Tanner has a passion for supporting and working with clients with ADHD. His primary modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, and Mindfulness. He continues to receive additional training in other modalities. Tanner believes a client-centered and strength-based approach is crucial in a therapeutic relationship.
Tanner is passionate about school-based mental health and advocates for school-based therapists and social workers. He served on the NASW-Utah Board for two years and currently serves on multiple committees with NASW-UT and SSWAA (School Social Work Association of America. He serves as one of the board members on the School Social Work Association of America Endowment Board. He is presently serving as President of the Utah School Social Work Association.

Amanda Ruiz, CSW, earned her master’s in social work from the University of Utah and has experience working with children, teens, and adults. She is bilingual in Englisha and Spanish, allowing her to support a diverse range of clients. Amanda draws from evidence-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is also passionate about continuing to grow her therapeutic training, with a focus on incorporating play therapy and sand tray therapy into her work.

Jason Weekes, CSW earned his Bachelor’s in social work from Utah Valley University and then went on to complete his Master’s degree in social work with the same university. As Jason was completing both of his degrees he has been working at Wasatch Behavioral health and has had a focus on teens in crisis and family mental health. He is currently working as a school-based therapist and is contracted into Alpine School District with limited client availability. Jason has a very systems focused approach to support those he works with. He is trained in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. He is also offering table top role play therapy to support in social skills development, emotional regulation development, and introspective development.
Aside from mental health, Jason is also dedicated to his family. He can often be found training his dogs, going on a hike, or relaxing while watching a good movie. He is a major advocate for high school sports as well and supports high school wrestling when he can.
Alexa Lambourne, CSW is a dedicated social worker and crisis worker with a strong background in supporting youth and families through complex challenges. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Utah Valley University and her Master of Social Work from Capella University.
Alexa brings extensive experience working in substance use treatment, residential care settings, crisis intervention, and individuals impacted by gang-related environments. Her approach is rooted in understanding the unique social, emotional, and environmental factors that influence behavior, allowing her to provide compassionate, practical, and effective support in both every day and high-pressure situations.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Alexa is bilingual in German and English, enabling her to connect with a broader range of individuals and families. She is passionate about empowering others, building resilience, and helping clients create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Erin Awerkamp, LCSW (She/Her) is the supervising therapist over the PREP and School Based (Provo/Nebo Districts) teams. She graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from Utah Valley University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and providing group therapy in both outpatient and residential settings. Erin has received specialized training to assess prodromal symptoms of psychosis vs an episode of psychosis as well as provide diagnostic clarification. She utilizes CBTp, DBT for psychosis, EMDR, ACT, and motivational interviewing treatment to focus on the client’s goals and their preferred approach to therapy.
Erin is married with three children and loves to play games with her family. She loves to spend time outside gardening, camping, and playing at the splash pad.
Kjerstine Spencer, CSW earned both her Bachelor’s degree and Master of Social Work (MSW) from Utah State University. She currently works as a therapist with Wasatch Behavioral Health on the Student-Based Services team within Alpine School District. Kjerstine is passionate about working with teens and youth, supporting them in developing healthy coping skills and empowering them on their journey toward healing and personal growth.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen motivation, and create meaningful, lasting change. Kjerstine incorporates strengths-based practices, focusing on each individual’s unique abilities and resilience to support long-term growth and well-being.
Outside of her professional work, Kjerstine enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, hiking, camping, and biking. She enjoys running and playing pickleball. She loves to learn and read.
