CURRENT PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO VOLUNTEER IN

  • GIANT Steps Autism Pre-School: Volunteers will assist preschool children with Autism to learn basic skills (communication, social skills, behavior management). There are 4 locations. (Provo, Orem, Spanish Fork & Saratoga Springs) Volunteers are especially needed in the Saratoga Springs and Spanish Fork classrooms.  For questions about volunteering specifically at GIANT Steps, please contact Gigi Carla Campos.   • Vantage Point (Provo): Volunteers will be assisting youth ages 13-18 with homework, social skills, and exercising healthy strategies for coping with various struggles. Must be 21 or older to volunteer at Vantage Point. For questions about volunteering specifically at Vantage Point, please contact Randy Glasscock via phone. Contact him at (801) 373- 2215 or via email at rglassco@wasatch.org   
  • Vantage Point North (American Fork): Volunteers will be assisting youth ages 13-18. You will be helping with their homework, social skills, and exercising healthy strategies for coping with various struggles. For questions about volunteering specifically at Vantage Point, please contact Zach Goulding. Reach him at (385) 268-5090 or via email at zachg@wasatch.org (email preferred). Zach will also be the person to set up your hours or if you have questions about the program specifically. I have also added him in this email if email works out best.
  • Strengthening Families Program (American Fork): Volunteers will be caring for children between the ages of 0-4 years old while other family members attend the Strengthening Families classes. Dinner will be provided for volunteers as well. The volunteers will be doing crafts and other activities with the kids that promote age-appropriate social skills. Volunteers will be involved in a program that works to help families improve their relationships and overall function. Needed Wednesday nights from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The session starts on Wednesday, September 6th and goes until November 15th; we will not meet October 4 or 18th.
